Adding diagonal bracing to roof trusses

Morning all,
We are first time homeowners (finally!) and are just finding our way with DIY etc so please excuse the complete novice.
Our homebuyers report noted a lack of diagonal bracing in our 1969 end terrace, I gather from reading around that this is quite common for this type of build/era. However, I am keen to get everything done that was brought up in the survey and we are also having solar panels installed in a few weeks so I want to make sure the roof is correctly braced beforehand.
We have been told it is an easy DIY job, but I am having trouble finding a simple guide to how to do it.
My question is where exactly do the bracing timbers go and can they be nailed in or do they need screws or special fixings?
Thank you!

Don't hammer and nail into an existing finished roof, you may damage or dislodge the tiles.
Using correct length screws triangulate any timbers on the underside of the roof.
So, in simple terms. they roof timber run from the outside wall to the apex of the roof.
From the bottom corner of the roof to the opposite top corner, screw a 3 x 1 inch timber, job done. (on all facets of the roof)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
