Friends of mine had a lovely quiet wedding a few years ago. Local registry office, just them, the bride's mother and sisters, OH and myself.

We then went to a local park to take some pictures and had afternoon tea at a posh hotel nearby. All very civilised and exactly what they wanted.

It's so easy to get wrapped up in wedding preparations with the day getting bigger and bigger as you go on, and you can end up with the kind of wedding you didn't really want. But it's your day so do exactly what you want and you'll have lovely memories to look back on.
