Outdoor Wireless Kit

Has anyone had any experience in using outdoor wireless kit and willing to pass on any recommendations?

    Depends on what you mean by outdoor.

    There's completely outdoor or there's using a wifi router in the house with an antenna on the outside of the house.

    Which one?

    Can't recall the site OTTOMH but there was massive coverage in the IT sector about Wifi networks being deployed in Africa. Google BOSCO project.

  • If you do a search you will find that a linksys router can be sealed inside a waterproofed tupperware style cake box, with power supplied via a POE connection. Linksys was favoured because of its reliability over long periods without having to reboot the device.
