I've discovered some. Tesco Frozen Smoked Haddock fish fillets in my freezer dated BF June 2014. Not a use by so still ok to use do you think? If so, any recipe/meal ideas?

It's best before...it'll still be fine but might not taste perfect.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

I'm a who carer's kind of gal regarding dates on food, as most of them don't give much time to eat the product, but even I wouldn't use fish best before June 2014.
Fish can be funny so be very careful.0 -
I'd eat it. It's "best before" not "use by". Food won't go off in the freezer (as long as there haven't been any power cuts) it just might not taste as good.0

It' 'best before' not 'poisonous after'.
As it's been in the freezer I'd eat it, unless it smelled bad2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

as above.
Its a best before. May have a little freezer burn build up, which when re-heated your unlikely to notice the difference.
If it was fresh. It would be a big NO. Frozen is a different kettle of fish. Pun intended0 -
As long as they were still properly frozen when they went into your freezer, I'm sure they'll be fine.
I'm not a 'fishy eater' but I'd definitely serve them up to my OH who l-u-r-v-e-s yellow fish :j!0 -
I'd think twice if it was June 2013, but June 2014 will be absolutely fine.
I ignore best before dates and I've never had a problem. In fact I've only ever had food poisoning once and that was from undercooked chicken at someone else's BBQ (and I caught the culprit snogging my ex-husband that night - he wasn't an ex at that point - so it was probably deliberate :rotfl:)0 -
I've got stuff in the freezer much older than that. If it smells Ok when it's defrosted then i'll eat it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

As long as you haven't had any power cuts you'll be fine. I've eaten things in the freezer which have been there a few years (they usually lose all their flavour and texture in that time, mind).0
