Keep in mind that what this does is jumps you up the queue, so causing greater delays for others.
I agree with this. However, sometimes there are legitimate reasons to involve MPs.
I first contacted mine after my claim had been retuned to DWP by ATOS allegedly on DWP's instruction. When it was returned to ATOS I was being put at the back of the queue and treated as a new claim I just wanted to go back to where I'd been in the queue before this error had been made. I then had to contact them when I was sent details of my award but the payment had not been made. Both times my MP's involvement found administrative errors that meant that my claim had dropped off the radar. Their involvement not only resolved these problems but seemed to get further than I could calling the relevant helplines.
When claimants are being given the run around by ATOS/Capita/DWP I think it's important that MPs know what's happening.0 -

if the DWP were competent enough if the first place then people would not have to wait this long it MAY cause further delays for others yet i MAY not nobody know this.
complain to your MP and give them a kick up there Bottoms they will soon get things moving and it might actually give MPS something to do0
