We live in Scotland and are trying very hard to buy a bigger house, but I'm failing! We had mortgage payment problems nearly two years ago, I have two defaults and my husband has 1 but all now cleared and also over a year ago. Any mainstream lender will have issues with recent adverse history. In the meantime overpay your mortgage and build your equity.
