Updating of accounts by Experian

I am in the process of applying for a mortgage but cannot submit my application until my credit card is showing as clear on my Experian report.
The balance was cleared on 13 July and I have made numerous calls to RBS and Experian to find out when the upload will update my account details. I have been told this could be another 2 weeks!
I have asked Experian to dispute the balance showing with RBS and they have advised that the balance is clear but they do not have systems in place to advise Experian other than the monthly upload.
I may end up losing the property I am hoping to buy as they will not communicate with each other other than by uploads!!
Please can anyone offer any advice?

Explain the situation to your lender.0

Has the balance was only paid of on 13th July, I would not expect for a feed to be sent to Experian until the end of August.
The only thing you could do is raise a concern, however by the time you have done that it may have updated its self normally.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Data on a credit file is typically between 2-5 weeks out of date to reality.
Mortgage lenders are very aware of that. Providing you can show paperwork to your mortgage lender that the debt is repaid there should be no issue with the credit file still showing slightly out of date data.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
^^^^ This!!
I too am desperately waiting for some updated account infor from mid July to show on Experian so I feel your pain.
Agree with the above - if you've got paperwork showing the debt as cleared then that should satisfy your lender. No point missing out!
Good luck0 -
Experian have been extremely slow at updating this last month with no updates on mine since 13th July.
Its amazing that they advertise you can check your report daily but you will get exactly the same data for 1 month.
There creditexpert site is poor too running asp.net. There developers need to be replaced with people who actually know what they are doing.-== CREDIT BUILD IN PROCESS 30% COMPLETE ==-

The timing of updates is controlled by the reporting companies not by the credit reference agencies.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Have they updated it now? I paid mine off on 3rd July and am still waiting for it to update! So frustrating.0

Hi Buttonmoon77,
Most companies will update information with us monthly.
Before the update is added to reports there are a number of checks on the quality of the data. If any issues are found then the update can be delayed while this is investigated.
However we would expect any payments made in early July to be showing by now.
Contact us with the details and we will be able to look into this for you.
