Shocked by garage -- in a good way...

My normal garage closes for two weeks in August so I tried a tiny one in a nearby village. Had new pads and brake fluid and went to pick the car up. I was handed the key but not asked to pay. I asked if they would like some money but the owner told me not to worry, they would send me the bill.
Anyway, the very reasonable bill came a week l.ater and I paid by bank transfer.
As I hadn't used them before, there is a lot of trust in this. I feel quite pleased to know that such trust can still exist in business.

My local garage is the same. Last time i went, he said "your bill isn't ready, call in next time you're passing" !
They even bring the car back home for me if it's raining as i normally walk there !
I'll be devastated if they ever close0 -
