Yay thats brilliant!! So glad for you!! I had this happen to me on Twitter with Showcase Cinema, I was so over the moon when I won, then the next day after they had already asked for my details I got a really short curt email saying
'Sorry-Mistakes were made- you haven't actually won. The winning email was sent to two people by mistake'
I was so gutted, not so much just because I hadn't actually won, but the way they were letting me know, so I politely sent them a msg just stating how hurt I was after the big excitement of winning, and made sure I sent it to their twitter & fb, and they agreed it was a shabby way to let me know, and I ended up with a better prize than before! So glad you got your prize, you deserved it! :-)

Thats great news they are giving you a prize. Its not nice to be told you have won something and then to say you havent!

I have had this happen to me, I won quite an expensive electrical hair bundle hair straighteners etc, had a winning voicemail, then had one after saying that actually the winner had already been chosen and to ignore this voicemail!

Anyway i was quite upset and was busy working so couldnt do anything, but then had an email saying they explained it to the other winner and they agreed to split the prize. Yeah was not the full prize and maybe they were being sneaky and nabbing half the prize for themselves (who knows) but i got some really expensive hair straightners which was nice!

Also won a Galaxy Tab in 2010, I was on holiday at the time in Jamaica and had no access to emails, anyway the email was sent half way through my holiday I had this email saying i had won this Galaxy tab and then another a few days later saying i obviously didnt want it so they were going to give it to someone else! I was so shocked, I called them 5 days after i had been notified of winning and they said sorry they had given it to someone else. even though the terms or the email didnt state there was a cut off time! Was just sods law unfortunately. Even when i took it to Edwin and the ASA i never got it or anything else, I thought it was mean! I cant remember the company now but it was a Scottish magazine! Probably annoyed that i am in England, I dunno but their attitude was awful
