    They may serve correct notice, they may not. Your supposition is they do it correctly, yet no evidence for this either.

    Well done, you've twigged that my post was just as made up as your previous effort. That was the point.

    Your advice however was to ignore them and then keep their fingers crossed based on your 'averages'. Hardly a sensible course of action for someone who is looking for advice to try and avoid being left homeless.

    OP - My advice is to discuss things as soon as possible with the LA/LL so that you have time to plan IF the LL will look to evict rather than go onto an spt. Hopefully, this is just a revenue raising tactic by the LA and here will be no issue with continuing onto an spt. Alternatively, you can take the guest101 advice and stick your fingers in your ears shouting 'la la la it's my right to go periodic so get yourself to court if you want me out'.

    No i read that post and commented on it. If you recall i pointed out the flaw in your three month extension plan.

    I have reread your post #13 again just to make sure i got the full gist of your 'stuff the LL' mentality. One thing you failed to point out in your sit-and-wait-for-the-bailiffs plan was that in such a case the OP would most likely have to pay court and bailiff fees to facilitate their own eviction.

    Yes you gave no reason as to why the LL or LA might not agree to the 3 month extension. Which would suit everyone.

    it's not stuff the LL at all, it's use your rights to go onto a STP. If LL doesnt like it they can go to court. Or offer to extend, since thats what they want either way.

    Not necessarily. Its all about being reasonable. a s.21 doesnt end a tenancy, as we all know. So if the T has been reasonable, which asking for a 3 month extension isnt unreasonable, given that they are being offer 6 months now. they would not necessarily be liable.
