Can someone confirm that this plays any region dvds, like region one etc.

I have noticed that a lot of "multi-region" dvd players will only play region 2 or 0 dvds.....

    AMAZON REVIEW SAYS

the slimline Starlogic measures just 360 x 50 x 250 mm (W/H/D) and will playback any DVD purchased from anywhere in the world, straight out of the box.

SO IT REALLY IS MULTI REGION (IV JUST BOUGHT 1 TO REPLACE THE OLD 1 IN MY ROOM. ITS REMOTE WAS GONE!).

Scart cable prices can easily top the price of the appliances to which they are attached! I believe gold connectors are favoured by hi-fi buffs (and scart cables 3 metres or longer are favoured by naughty people who copy from one DVD machine to another - the blocking signal gets lost, apparently :naughty: ). Poundstore scart cables aren't bad but tend to fall to bits if you frequently plug and unplug them. At 2.49 pounds, here's a bargain, if you can get your mitts on one:

So has anyone got this dvd player. If so, whats your opinion on it? Have you tried different regions?

Received one of these yesterday for using as secondary player. It does play dvd's other than region 2 and for £19.99 delivered it's not bad.

Got mine a month or so back, has worked very well and for £19.99 delivered I am very impressed. I realise some people have had problems, but it's a no-risk punt, at worst, surely??!!

I gotone of these and it arrived with the door hanging off. I got a replacement sent within thw week, very impressed. I had to pay for the postage to send it back but now have just had the refund for this, which was all done in less than two weeks. So very good service. As for the player, a bit small and tinny but good for the money and to use in my bedroom. Plus it does play all my discs that my posh players spit out !

Have not tried that myself, but the spec on Amazon does say it plays VCD - so I guess that's a big fat YES :D
