Laptop - coming away at hinges

Hi all!
Got an Acer laptop here, that I got just over a year ago, that is coming apart at the hinges. Bought it from box_uk
Nothing of our fault, but the hinges are coming off, exposing the motherboard, and is now starting to randomly shut down as well. It isn't that long since we've had the thing!
Any advice on what to do? Acer themselves are quite unhelpful, claiming that it's past the one year warranty etc...
