Leaving B&B early rights?

Booked in to a b&b this afternoon for the first of four nights. Having put my two preschoolersto bed for the night two things became apparent...1. The blackout blind does very little blacking out, both kids had light streaming on to their head/face at bed time and I'm sure they will at 5am too (and then want to get up - yay). 2. There's a noisy hot water tank in the room that they both complained about while failing to fall asleep. I'm not sure how many rooms it's serving, but certainly more than just ours.
I don't know my consumer rights when it comes to asking to leave early and not being charged. I'm sure there must be some? Any advice?

Have you paid for the 4 nights in advance? If not leave tomorrow paying for the night you have had, otherwise, ask for an alternative room0

Have a look on the B&B website - are there any terms and conditions for bookings? Talk to the owners in the morning and tell them your concerns - they might be very understanding. Alternative might be to say one of the children is feeling unwell and you have to leave early?0

In terms of legal rights, I believe you must give them a chance to rectify the problems. If you've paid in full up front, this is likely the best option. You could speak to the owner/manager and they may sort out a different room for you. If it's still unacceptable, then you're in a better position if you do decide to leave.
These things seem to depend on the attitude of the management and size of the place. A huge chain B&B is likely to be more difficult than a family-run, few bedrooms place if you decide to just up and leave.
