Not helpful, the op asked a completely different question, so if you have nothing useful to say, don't post. So, back to helping the op, and not being abusive. I'm afraid you will have to try a broker, as your proof of ncd won't be accepted online. A local broker should be able to help, if you need to speak to one face to face. After the first year though, there is a good chance you will get a 'normal' proof of ncd, which can then be used online. It's also worth asking the company that provided the motability insurance for a quote.0 -

On the previous thread I suggested contacting RSA. From the Motability FAQs:-
As the car is owned by Motability Operations, RSA Motability do not offer a "no claims discount" bonus. However, they may be able to issue a "claims history letter" in some cases. If this is required, please contact RSA Motability to discuss further. RSA Motability also have an arrangement for scheme members with MORE TH]N, who have agreed to honour scheme drivers with claim-free driving records, with the equivalent number of years no claims discount. This offer is subject to MORE TH]N's standard acceptance criteria. For further details of this offer, please contact RSA Motability.0 -
Did you get the motability car because of your hearing impairment, or do you have another condition?0

Without seeing exactly how it is worded on what they give you it is difficult to say who will accept it. Given the prevalence of the Mobility Scheme I would be a little surprised if others didnt accept it.
If the letter explicitly says No Claims Discount they you are almost certainly home and clear. If it just says you've had 4 years claim free then you're on more dodgy ground but as some insurers accept the same sort of thing from company car drivers I'd be surprised if those wouldnt do the same from Mobility.
The issue isnt that you cannot do it online but that you should validate the insurer/ brokers acceptance of the letter prior to purchase. Some insurers do have Live Chat on their sites so you could ask them, outside of that its going to be a case of doing a quote with the NCD in place and then contacting the top ~5 or so insurers by email to confirm they'd accept the letter as proof of NCD before buying.
Do you not have a text phone? Most large insurers and brokers use these types of services for calls to the deaf.0 -

thanks for all advice
im not going to borther ,so i just start again from the bottom with no claims0 -
Got to be worth getting the letter off RSA then contacting a local broker (not Swinton) or RSA themselves to see if they will give you some sort of discount before giving up.
Also use the MSE guide to buying car insurance to check out the market - many insurers give an introductory discount to drivers with experience but nil ncd, and they may work out better than using the RSA letter.0
