  • I've been with them for many years - no experience with any other lenders but have always been really happy with them for competitiveness / ability to deal with queries and speed of application processes. They certainly didn't hold up my purchase in September however this could have been down to the fact I was borrowing additional? I did have to do the regular application process though ie proof of earnings etc as was borrowing nearly as much as I owed on my previous mortgage.

Thank you. I haven't used a broker so not sure what to expect as in being updated on the progress and I don't want to hound them all the time for an update. I think I just need to chill!

I applied with them back in February via a broker and it took 8 working days from application being submitted to offer. However this was pre-MMR so maybe they take longer now days.

To an offer-in-principle of an amount, or to a written offer on a specific property?

I am remortgaging to one of their products and I applied direct after doing my own research. I have found them to be quick, certainly quicker than any other lenders in my experience.

I had to spend approx. 60 minutes going through application over the phone including details of property, affordability etc but i'm guessing this will have been covered off by your broker. I found decisions that were refereed to the underwriter were dealt with quickly, and I received my offer within a few days of AIP. The thing that has taken the longest is their free legal service via optima legal. So much so that my original product expired and was replaced by an even better one, however Coventry BS let me swop to this without incurring any cost and they deal with this swiftly and re-issued a new offer which was received within 2 days.

It has taken them several weeks to get to the point of completion and I am due to complete today (fingers crossed!)
