As the title says, for our holiday later this year, we depart from Gatwick but return to Heathrow.
I'm hoping to find a company who can transfer our car from Gatwick to Heathrow for our return. Has anyone got any experience of any companies offering this?

If you do find a company willing to do this, it may well be quite an expensive prospect.
Why not consider driving to Heathrow and parking there then either get the bus or a taxi to Gatwick.
A ticket on National express is about £25 per person so it will probably work out cheaper and be more convenient to get a taxi.
A prebooked taxi will cost you in the region of £50 to £70 depending on the number of passengers.0 -
if I was in this situation and it worked out I'm pretty sure I would take it as a chance to start the holiday a bit early and check into a hotel at Gatwick the day before the flight, drop off anything we'll carry on, drive to Heathrow and park the car and then find our way back to Gatwick...it may be more expensive but I should imagine less stressful than trying to deal with parking at one airport and getting to another on the same day.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

It's not cheap, but probably cheaper than a family in a taxi and / or a hotel room.0 -
            Thanks for the link.
Gavin, we're in south west Herts, 30. Mins to Heathrow (on a good day), 60-70 mins to Gatwick.0 -
Have you priced getting a car to take you from home to one airport and pick you up from the other? It avoids paying for parking and the expense and extra time travelling between the airports.0

I would have thought pre-booked taxis from home - LHR - LGW - home would be cheaper than paying for parking for the duration of your holiday plus the car transfer fee on top.
I live 45mins from LHR and 1hr 15min from LGW, so not dissimilar distances, taxis are £50 to LHR, £57 to LGW in an estate, £67 to LHR, £78 to LGW in a 6 seater.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
