Hi,
Apologies if this is in wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to put it..
My OH has recently broken a white gold bracelet, and feedback from jewellers is that its not really economical to repair, as repair itself would be quite expensive, and no guarantee that it wouldn't fail again..
So reluctantly we are considering selling it for scrap value, and putting that towards something new.
Seems to be a lot of C4G operations about, don't want to get ripped off, so any recommendations appreciated, thanks.

We've always used Hatton Garden metals and always received exactly what they quote and usually within 1 working day.
Don't give it or someone on the high street or one of those pop ups in shopping centres you'll get a low price.

A local jewelers will probably give you the price they offer per gram / ounce over the phone.
When I had some old silver coins to sell, the local jeweler was offering the same price per gram as the internet sites, but without any of the hassle of posting, insuring, or worrying about whether they were going to claim the weight was lower than it was.
Always take it to two or three jewelers in person if you can (and have it weighed), just to give yourself some confidence that you're not being short-changed.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
