Hi,
I signed off JSA last week with the belief that I will begin working on Tuesday.
Today roughly two hour ago I received a phone call from the company saying that my start date is deferred because of some paper work. I was told that I am definitely hired but it seems that the company would need more time to get everything sorted. It might just takes a few day, but it can be up to 2 weeks.
When I rang DWP to sign off last week I told them when I will be started. So in this case do I need to contact them again because of a change of circumstances, and whether it is possible for me to reclaim JSA till the day I actually start working?
Also I was on work program before. They have closed my file too. Do I need to give them a call about this?
Thanks.

Telephone your JCP in the morning, as they may not have processed closing your JSA claim yet.
It's likely you'll have to make a rapd reclaim online, however, ie covering the next fortnight. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -

Thank you so much for the advice
Just Rang the DWP and was told that I would just need to go online and make a rapid reclaim until I actually start working.
Thank you Mersey!!!!!!!!0
