No vents in new UPVC soffits

My porch previously had wooden fascia boards with vented soffits however they were 18 years old so I had them replaced with UPVC.
The only thing is the new soffits are not vented, I called the company back and they said due to the type of tile and roof space the extra venting was not needed.
Whats everyones opinion of this? The vents were there before which tells me that they should be there now. The company said they can remove a tile and fit a hidden vent that I wouldn't see, but I may have misunderstood them.

I would fit two 70mm circular soffit vents each side. Easy to fit and very inexpensive.Forgotten but not gone.0

If you don't live in your porch then you really are not going to have any issues, there won't be enough wet heat going in.
The builder has offered you something, trade it off against what tony says, fit the vents and job doneI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

The porch while not heated will obviously have a degree of heat entering the ceiling space hence my concern, infact during the summer even on a humid day it can get very hot inside.
I've got tongue and groove soffits as you can see but the vents may fit. I'll ask the builders to fit them, I just wanted to know if there was a genuine technical reason for needing them.
Thanks for your help.0 -
The company says you don't need the porch venting and I think they are correct. Yes it will get hot in summer but it's dry heat, in the winter you will not get warm wet air rising from below as it is outside.
The other point is eaves vents are pretty useless without corresponding vent at high level to enable the rising air to escape.
If the porch roof space is separated from the house itself by the external wall all is fine, if there is a way through which I doubt their is, then the porch will vent through the main house system.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
