I've been Money Tipped!

As someone who has witnessed the devious methods used by the private parking companies simply to extract extortionate amounts of money for what they describe as a breach of their terms and conditions in my opinion it is high time the National Press and other media outlets expose this industry and the British Parking Association for what they really are. Unfortunately, the Westminster Government were taken in (hook Line and Sinker) by the BPA when they allowed these companies some degree of legitimacy under the Protection of Freedoms Act in England and Wales. Lets not forget that these are the very same companies who were banned from clamping. Surely now Westminster (of course when they all return from their extended holidays) must intervene and stop this industry obtaining owner details from the DVLA.
It's a war and they won't win !! Democracy WILL PREVAIL !!

agreed, which is why it featured on watchdog a few months ago on the bbc, and why the Daily Mail ran a 10 day campaign about it 2 weeks ago

I wrote to my MP about it recently too

    Good rant.

However, there is a new newspaper called the Daily Mail (you may not have heard about it) that has just run a series of anti-PPC articles over a week on the very subject.

And a rotund politician called Pickles is supposed to be running (well walking briskly) with this.

I quite agree, but I don't think it's going to happen. It makes money for the DVLA, and there will be brown envelopes flying all over the place. The Daily Mail has recently run a good campaign, apparently with the support of Eric Pickles, no less. Again though, I can't see much happening. I sometimes wonder whether I should set up a company sending out £100 invoices to large numbers of people, whose names I get for the Phone Book. I'm sure lots would pay up. Would I end up in jail if I did this? Yes! Funny that.

Oh dear, have you come across the definition of farage? Urban Dictionary
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

And why we do more tangible things to fight the PPCs in this forum - regardless of our individual politics!
