Hello,
is there a way for a charity to post letters without having to pay for stamps? Sorry if its a daft question, but Ive been wondering this for awhile now. I always get "crisis appeal" letters in the post and wonder if charities get help paying for postage?

Not as far as I know. There are bulk volume discounts and they may not be using Royal Mail.
There used to be an exception for 'articles for the blind', but I'm sure that wouldn't cover general mailings.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Articles for the blind are still covered.
However there is no such thing as free postings in RM, out with these0 -
No. There are various discounts - the crisis appeal letters may not be personalised, in which case they are senders will be paying a bulk rate to have one added to each house in a specific area, rather than them being addressed to a specific house, so it will be cheaper than putting a stamp on each one, but it is not free. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
