I guess the scam is they either say there's a problem at the bank and can they paypal, then do a chargeback. Or they accidentally send too much money (from a hijacked account) and ask you to return the difference to another account.0

Last week I sold something and the buyer paid by bank transfer.
2days later I couldn't access my online banking,a phone call the next morning and my bank had blocked my acc and card to protect it. The buyer had told them that they didn't authorise the transfer! Luckily when I told them the details everything was ok but I had to spend a night worrying about what could be up with my account. The buyer denies everything but luckily everything was ok.James tucker

This should not happen under current regulations- there is no way a sending bank can call fraud on a sent payment and have the recipient bank freeze the account.
