Cheap Energy Club made my bills higher!

okay so I thought joining this and doing a transfer to another supplier would be great but my bills went soaring.
Seems after speaking to the wonderful staff at NPower (two 3 hr waits, 3 transfers from one staff member to the next including once to the wrong person and having to go through security checks each time) that I do not get an economy out of hours rate with the price fix March 2016 as I did with EDF Blue and this is why my bill has gone up (cost me an extra £40 in 2 months).
Sadly the CEC couldnt check this use and I made the (silly) assumption that this would be the same regardless of supplier, poor show CEC I think I'll do my own checking next time!
Be warned guys,
Frank

If you have n E7 meter you should automatically get an E7 tariff unless you ask otherwise.. Check the meter serial and your MPAN (or S number) on the bill. If you have an E7 meter your MPAN should begin with 02. http://energylinx.co.uk/mpan.htm. I suspect NPower have fouled up, they do offer E7 with that tariff.0

Hi Frank
I'm sorry to hear that you've had some issues with Npower following your switch. It sounds like something has gone wrong here - as Molerat mentions above, this tariff does offer Economy 7.
There's an option to choose single rate or economy 7 as part of your Energy Club profile - assuming that you have the economy 7 option selected, all your results will have been based on this type of usage.
If you could drop me an email to energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com we'll look into the detail behind this.0
