I have an Isme account, have done for the last 10 years. Never missed a payment or gone over my limit. I have a £0 balance at present.
However, the only issue there could be is that I do not place orders regularly, before today, the last time I tried to place one was back in April, before then it was April 2013.
I try and take advantage of the Buy Now Pay Later promotion for it to come back later saying that they cannot honour it. I then later find out that it is because I hardly place orders and then suddenly try and place orders for £100-£300. My limit is £3000.00
When there was no issue with the BNPL offer I used, I would pay for the item before the interest was put on the account.
I just tried to place an order for an expensive item over the phone (as the last previous times I did it online) so that I would get the verbal confirmation that they would give me the BNPL offer. The rep said he would add the BNPL at the end of the call and seemed dismissive of that. Then he tried to upsell me some form of insurance. When I declined it after the rep finished his pitch, he then asked "Can I ask why don't you want it?"
I explained the reason, then he went through the pitch again trying to sell me the benefits of taking out the insurance!
I just ended the call because he was not listening to me. I am going to close the account with them.
Does anyone else have issues with this mail order group?
