Ok, im in a lucky position here. I have paid off my mortgage and have 40k spare sat in ISA's which dont seem to be doing much.

Im single with no kids, im 38 in full tie employment with a decent final salary pension.0

Could be a while before we know what your requirements are......for instance, how long do you wish to put the money away for , how much of it can you put away / how big is your emergency cash fund, how much of the money could you afford to lose, and so on.0

Provided you could wait out a drop of 40%, I would stick 25% in each of RIT Capital Partners, Law Debenture, Brunner and Scottish Mortgage, alternatively use Personal Assets instead of Scottish Mortgage if you want to take less risk. Well actually I might use a slightly different mix but in essence I would invest it into a few global IT's or something like Vanguard Life Strategy 80%.0
