My other half got this via email - he doesnt even have a halifax account. I just saw a similar one for lloyds too so looks like someone is doing the run :(

Halifax PLC. has been receiving complaints from our customers for unauthorised use of the Halifax Online accounts. As a result we are making an extra security check on all of our Customers account in order to protect their information from theft and fraud.


Due to this, you are requested to follow the provided steps and confirm your Online Banking details for the safety of your Accounts. Please (LINK REMOVED)



However, Failure to do so may result in temporary account suspension. Please understand that this is a security measure intended to help protect you and your account. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    without being rude, if everyone posted all these attempts from different banks there would be nothing else on this site. I get at least 3 or 4 of these every week, usually from banks I know nothing about. I also get at least 2 a day claiming to be from paypal.

    These are always fraud attempts just bin them

    I get so many of these lol, at least five a day. What makes me think that they're not genuine is that they generally always start 'Dear Valued Customer' ... Since when have UK banks ever valued their customers???
