I read an article on the MMM recently (try him out Im converted!)

and it was about frugality not feeling like deprivation. My OH suffers from this, and I couldnt understand why he felt so hard done by.

It's to do with your values, and adjusting accordingly, give it a read and see if you feel any better.

I get what you mean about a state of mind - sometimes nice to try and tell yourself money is always just that, though not always easy...I'm not sure what MMM means, could you explain that one? Thanks. :)

I gave up a very very well paid job about 4 years ago and to begin with hated it. I was used to having what ever a wanted. Yes bit of a spoilt brat really. I still like the good things, still like designers, love expensive things, just do not and can not afford them.

Shop wisely ebay, charity shops, Oxfam. I love finding a bargain now. Think even if I had the mega wages back I would not spend as much as I did. New sofa ? Got one from ebay local collection still had the price tags £60! Dress for a wedding gumtree monsoon £25.00 !

You can save have nice things and not feel that you are punishing yourself.
Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A
