Yes that's the plan with CC3 when I get paid. To be honest it should already be cleared as I've just moved the remainder of it onto one of my 0% cards. However, when I wrote the balance down I transposed a couple of figures which left me with a small balance to pay.
Found a couple of old lottery tickets today.... Not quite sure what I was expecting but I must have double checked them three times! Ah well, we live in hope!
Good news on your 0% deal. Like you say, it gives you a bit of breathing space. I'm stuck in a bit of a rut with meals. I don't mind cooking but by the time I get the little one in bed I just need something quick. Generally anything I can bung in the oven for 20 mins. I keep meaning to have a look on some of the other boards here for cheap meal ideas. I'm sure they'd come up with a variety of concoctions for your cupboard contents!0 -
I'm the same at the moment pink, bit stuck till pay day. But when it comes be good to see a dent in debt!
Did a blitz in house today and sorted clothes for eBay/charity/bin so hopefully get round to that at some point! Only found 15p and 1 euro thobut a nsd and didnt use car so am up really!!
supper was a great success though - I'll copy n paste below you may be interested - posted on other thread - anyway good luck!!
Just made a lovely chicken chow mien for tea, better than the Chinese I'd say, healthier and for fraction of price
Aldi noodles - 59p
Aldi chow mein sauce - 39p
Chicken breast - finely sliced (from freezer but also Aldi)
1/2 red onion - finely sliced
Piece of red pepper - finely sliced
Few sliced mushrooms - from freezer (usually slice and freeze 1/2 punnet for handiness)
Marinade chicken for however long in 1tbs light soy & 1tbsp dark soy - was couple of hours but sure you could do half hour/overnight/whatever
Fry off chicken for couple mins, add onion then mushrooms and then pepper, add sauce then bung in noodles - all done in 5 mins
Fed hungry man aft work, myself and 2 yo. Very excited with this one definitely be a regular. Could use whatever veg handy in fridge/freezer or use whatever meat/prawns or have it veggie and just double up if more folk round and still tasty and cheap as chips!Debt Aug 14 - O/D £1250, Halifax CC £1915 (0%) Santander CC £1450 Barclay CC £345 Next 335

Thank you for your recipe! I love chow mien so will definitely try that.
I have had a lovely surprise tonight, I rang for a settlement figure on my loan and it's nearly £200 less than I thought.I rang because I've just been approved for a CC that I can do a money transfer from to repay the loan. 0% for 31 months. I'm very happy that I can now make extra payments towards the loan and obviously not pay any interest in the process. Although it is quite scary how easily I could get land myself further in the 'you know what!'. It will not happen this time. I desperately need to save for my bathroom and until I'm repayment free then it just isn't going to happen for me!
I can understand why so many people do these diaries. It really does keep you focused. It's good to 'talk' about it all with having to admit your debt to family/friends.0 -
That is fantastic pink on both counts :j:j
And breeeeeaaath - just look at the progress you've made since starting this thread a few days ago!! Your well the way!
Your so right about "talking" this way also, it's so helpful, keeps spirits up and you can still be "you" to family and friends iykwim

Not a great deal to report here... Apart from I finally had a NSD! Should hopefully have another today too.
I changed one of my old bank accounts to a new one that gives you £100 for switching last night. So hopefully when that's complete I can make quite a big (for me) extra payment.
Even if stick to my budget all month I still won't have a great deal to over pay with so I'm stalking all the boards on here for ways to make extra money. I'm also quite impatient so I need to see a bit of a dent in my figures to keep me going!0 -
Good news on the money for switching accounts, that would be over a fifth of Nxxt paid off straight away!
Keep going C xLoan from Mum £500/£300

Your doing great pink, think you'll be debt free way sooner than 23
keep at it!
I just feel stuck, I can't do anything till pay day, although have had 4 out 7 nsd, and not put fuel in car in two weeks! And not reached O/D limit which I usual do week after getter paid (and incur the charges, then use CC) Dog and ds2 don't seem to be bothered staying local, and am getting more excersise! My neighbour asked me this morn if I'm off work on holiday! No why I asked, he said oh just thought you off as I've no seen your car move lately! Hahaha - must be saving ££ even tho I'm not seeing it yet!Debt Aug 14 - O/D £1250, Halifax CC £1915 (0%) Santander CC £1450 Barclay CC £345 Next 335
