Dsa mentor question

Hello
I am doing to start a university teaching course. I have a mental and physical disability.

I have a level 3 in media makeup and I wanted to know if I can get a mentor.

The problem I face is I can not find any mentors in my field. I learnt my makeup from three different tutors and I kinda make up the way I achieve a look instead of following a routine.
With my mental health disability I find it difficult to put into words how I do my work plus my ways changes all the time.
I have tried to custom a routine but I get very confused.

I wanted a mentor to help put all me knowledge into stages so I can teach my student on my work placement without confusing them or me.

The mentor needs to have good knowledge of my art or it would not help. I can find no mentors would DSA allow me to either take one on one sessions (these would be expensive) or short courses ( less expensive) as I can't find a mentor?

    Hi OP,

Mentors don't have to be trained in your field - they are there to help you complete the work, and most don't need prior background information. They are there purely to help you.

You need to contact your university DSA office. They can answer specific questions, but from what you've said that isn't what a mentor would do. They will help you with routine, scheduling and stuff like that.
