I don't know whether it's because i have pulled an all nighter and need sleep or that i am just being a bit of a biff, but this doesn't right to me. Can anyone help make the below sound/flow better:

Digital Forensics involves the preservation, identification, extraction and documentation of digital evidence in the form of digital information. Digital Forensic investigations are commonly employed as a post-event response to a serious information security or criminal incident.

In my eyes, the sentences seem disjointed, yes the info is there, but it doesn't seem to 'flow'.

As it's an opener for my abstract, i am hoping some of you academic types could provide a steer!

I DO NOT LIKE TO REPEAT OF THE digital evidence and digital information bit - but what other word will suffice for digital??????? Could you say in a non analogue manner? Although that is a bit of a mouthful...

I have no idea what you are speaking of as I am such a luddite - but I **THINK** the second flows better?

Obvs choose word from brackets etc...

Also would say don't post homework online as this may then be highlighted a plagiarism by your university reader thing attached to the electronic submission thingy... (See? I'm showing off my electronic knowledge there aren't I?)
