Terms of Service don't mean anything if they are unfair or favour a particular party. Google it.
So, I don't blame myself...no.
Sony have shown in the past that they are negligent with the security of their user's data, and behaved like petulant child when fined over it. I find it suspicious and surprising that certain people are so quick to defend them and always blame user error, considering Sony's shady history.0 -
Could this even be an 'inside job'?0

My son had his account hacked, password changed but they were locked out when they tried to change the associated email address - so they were unable to make any purchases. It effectively locked him out too.
He phoned Playstation Support on 0203 5382665 as Sony were fobbing him off. It has to be resolved over the phone for security reasons and there was a slight delay while they traced the person who had hacked the a/c."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -

You agreed to the terms of service, so you must have thought they were fair at the time of pressing "I Agree"? You can't agree to them, then cry it's unfair when something goes wrong.
Sony have a right to protect their interests. If they start refunding everyone that cries fraud they'll soon find themselves taken advantage of by those who's morals are lower than our own.0 -
Its those pages and pages of small print text or scroll past at 100 miles per hour to click on the 'I agree' or sign your name away box that nobody, anywhere, ever pays any attention to.0

Just because you do that it doesn't mean that everyone else does it.
Just out o curiousity, why don't you ever select "I disagree" instead? You are given the option to accept or decline the Ts + Cs yet you always choose to agree. Why?0 -

A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0
