Who by? Geoff Capes? Its at least a 30 minute walk from the station.0 -
Vauxhall holiday park is not 30mins walk. I walk slowly and it wouldn't take me anywhere near that.0

Just measured on maptools as although I visit the area often I've never actually done the walk myself. And two different map tools put the distance at just over .5 mile.
What would put me off this walk is the fact it's on a hugely busy road A149.0 -
You can walk just along the road towards Yarmouth central where there is a crossing then follow a decent path back to the train station. Might be slightly longer than 0.5 but an easy walk.
A second vote for Dawlish Warren. Trains can get a bit cramped though. Time trips for slightly later in the day and coming back later too.Back on the trains again!0 -
do you like Blackpool Haven at Cala Gran have Trams running in and around, once you get there.
Hope this helps ?
Trams don't go near it, but buses certainly do.
There is also the Haven at Marton Mere, but that is on the outskirts of Blackpool.
I can also recommend Fallbarrow Park at Bowness. Train to Windermere and either a bus or taxi down to Bowness.0
