You could try explaining that as your property is incurring damage, then it is very likely that the adjoining property is also incurring similar damage and that a quick repair will minimise the cost to both of you, hence time is of the essence. I'm not sure if there is any legal obligation on the owner of the other property. Need a legal expert to answer that one.

Yeah. That's another issue. I'm not even sure if it's joint responsibility.
But surely if it's at the join between the houses it should be? One person can't be expected to make a repair that is for the benefit of both properties unless the repair is 100% on one property. Say if it was 100% on my side but causing issue to both houses then it would be my responsibility. But with it being at the join it should be joint responsibility.
But then what do I know. I obviously don't know for sure.Sigless0
