Attitudes to Electric Vehicles survey study

Sorry, started to complete it in good faith, then got to Q7, which is entirely predicated on the assumption that the environment needs "protecting" against emissions.
Any answer I gave would either be a lie or cast me as an evil planet destroyer, so I'm out.0 -

okay, but they are not intended to cast anyone in any light.
If you think its more complicated than agreeing/disagreeing then a neither agree/disagree response would be most appropriate I think.0 -
to reply to some other comments, the survey is a tad long perhaps, it's difficult to make surveys interesting so i know its asking a lot for people to do them. I thought the motoring section was the best place to post it even if it is cheeky. Cheers0

Given what's available now, EVs seem most suited as an expensive second car.
If the Tesla 3 in a few years time has decent range, then that's a pricepoint game changer.
As for emission questions and reliance on fossil fuels/energy security, then that's a whole can of worms regarding the lack of a real UK energy policy after the dash for gas.0 -

I agree with the above post on question 7, I didn't go any further either as I dislike the way it portrays electric vehicles as the saviour of the universe and completely ignores the many other alternatives to cars. I'm not convinced electric vehicles are such a quick fix and while the survey seems to force you down the route of an electric vehicle being the only way to reduce emissions, I went for the pedal cycle route (my car rarely gets any use now) which I consider much greener than an electric vehicle.

Range is the killer for me.
Until they sort the batteries out they're likely just to remain an expensive second car.0 -
I don't think it's against any forum rules,we've had students asking for similar help before, don't see it as any big deal.
From the rules:TV companies, newspapers and researchers are not allowed to post on the forum asking for case studies unless given specific permission. If we allowed this, the forum would be flooded with requests.
If you're a journalist wanting permission/ looking for case studies, please read the media enquiries section of the Site FAQs for the email address relevant to you. A member of the MSE Team will get back to you when they can.
If you're an ordinary forum user wanting to post a survey on our forum, eg a student looking for help with your studies you can post your survey, once only, on our Surveys board.
And quite often, the researcher concerned turns-out to be a stooge for some commercial interest, not a student.
And every educational institution I've had dealings with, where they actually allow/accept online surveys as part of coursework (most regard them as lazy/inaccurate for a range of reasons), have it in the policy that any survey be posted on a board that will accept them and in accordance with the rules/T&Cs - and this guy wastes them in every way!0 -
Had a Tesla Model S go past me at about 90 the other day driving up the M42.
Looked OK.
Would I buy one?
At £50,000?
No way.0
