now why would they need this he left college in 2010 ?? do you think its a mistake its been such a long time ago twice before in the last 2 years hes claimes esa and never been asked for this before and where would I find it out anyway college wouldn't have records this long surely

They shouldn't need any education information if he left college in 2010. The most likely cause is a question being misunderstood and the request being generated on that basis. Easiest way forward is to call the 0345 / 0845 number on the letter and speak to somebody.0

I know it seems daft it says on claim form he left in 2010 , but the woman taking the claim kept having to go and ask for help all the time , will ring them tomorrow thanks0

The question is about education in the last 4 years so if Yes was answered, if he left in July 2010, it could explain the request. Nothing to worry about.0

The concern is you can't generally claim ESA if in education - even if taking a break from studies - only if you've permenantly withdrawn from the course. The question is about education in the last 4 years so if Yes was answered, if he left in July 2010, it could explain the request. Nothing to worry about.
The assumption is that this happens after 4 years.0
