Hastings direct

I bought car insurance from hastings that was renewed feb 2014. March 14 my car went bang too expensive to repair. I now have a company car which Hastings told me they won't insure it and want £55 to cancel my policy with them. Can they do this? Should I have to pay when it's them who won't insure me? Any ideas or help very welcome thank you

Yes they can do this. You don't have the same policy and company car insurance is a specialist field that some insurers don't touch.

The cancellation fee is in line with the guidelines so you will need to suck it up and find insurance elsewhere.
