Rang COOPS number to make the switch. He says I need to go through security, went through it with him, then said i need to ring you back to go through a full security when computers are loaded and set up. So I said fine, when will you ring? he said within 2 mins, so they rang back, each time i picked up and there was no one talking at other end, they rang 5/6 times.
Has any1 had this problem with COOP security ringing back?

Got through then i challenged security his end. He gave me supervisors number. rang that number then asked to be put through same guy, i was speaking to earlier, but left me on hold for 2 mins, so i put phone down. then they rang me back, but the phone line was dead when i picked up.
Serious doubts whether the £100 is worth all this.0 -
I was very happy to put in a bit of effort for the £100. Why are you making things so complicated for yourself?. As they say go with the flow and keep the end goal in mind.0

Ok its a Sunday which is classed as a non banking day anyway by most banks, your also complaining that the banks systems are not fully functional at 9.20am on a Sunday?
You may also find that the switching team don't work on a Sunday, will you be complaining about that too?
Give them a break all banks have computer problems no system runs perfectly all the time.
If you really wanted the £100 then you would just suck it up and get on with it.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Have a brew and a Kit Kat.
Put your feet up today.

LOL thanks for your reassurances so early on Sunday, and telling me to suck it up, yes i did go with the flow, I was a bit harsh earlier. Rang them again (someone different picked up) this time went smoothly, took 35mins to start switch and set up online bank security. Switch will start on 15.8.14. Can't wait for my £100!

I didn't have to go through any of them calling me back and all that.
Called them up, activated banking, I only set up an account password and a few other bits of information.
Called them a few days later to switch, gave them the account password, confirmed some random characters from the other info I gave them. They took the account details. I should be switched from some point this week.
I sometimes think people make a rod for their own back, then moan when they get passed from pillar to post.0 -
i am glad it was only me that had trouble, and you all have had a smooth switch, it is reassuring that COOP are ok. I didn't get passed on from pillar to post which was good.0

If you find switching to the Coop complicated / long winded / "moronic", try switching to M&S. Even the most patient person might lose the will to live with M&S, though several of us have actually survived it in good health.0

Ha haa funny, Archi Bald, once in has it been ok with M&S?they have £100 vouchers don't they?0
-
Yes, £100 voucher, or even £150. I am currently switching my M&S account to Halifax as after the voucher there is now nothing I value with M&S Bank.0
