There are no guidelines about this, each cases is considered on its own merits. Of course, questions are going to be asked if the job is at odds with your reported limitations - to give an extreme example, questions would be asked if you got a job delivering leaflets and had claimed that you could not mobilise more than 40 meters!

would probably depend on what illness you have and are claiming for, contact your local ESA center as soon as you can and ask them, they will know or should know better than anyone here

    Hi

You can do lower earnings permitted work earning less than £20 per week indefinitely but it is permitted and you need permission.

The higher level limit states work of less than 16 hours per week. Not earning more than £101 per week and you keep your ESA. Again you ask for permission. This is for a maximum of 52 week.

There are other types of work that you can do such as a councillor. More details here

..........Unless you are in Support Group, in which case there is no time limit of 1 year for higher level permitted work.

If you call about Permitted Work be sure to make it clear that you are thinking about trying to do some work and that you haven't actually started any work. A friend of mine had his benefit suspended because somebody thought he was already working.
