Parking Zone Ltd

Hi,

I've been looking at the most recent threads, but just want some clarity as most seem to be about companies with ATA membership.

Received a 'Parking Charge Notice' today in Birmingham from 'Parking Zone Ltd'. I have taken photo's etc, and was parked in the car park of a company that was closed/may not even be in business.

I am the registered keeper, it's a private vehicle and the issuing company does not appear to be members of IPC or BPA.

There is a segment on the ticket saying 'Penalty Charge' £85 if paid within 14 days-is this illegal in the context of the ticket being made to look like one from a council etc? (It also has wording like 'it is an offence for an unauthorised person to remove or interfere with this notice')

Is the current advice to ignore and see if they manage to get my details from DVLA?

If they do manage to do that, is that illegal without ATA membership?

Is it worth reporting to trading standards ref the ticket impersonating a council one?

Thanks if anyone can help!

So glad you didn't just appeal!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Coupon thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly-much appreciated!

I'll do nothing then-except contact trading standards-absolute joke that they are even trying it on!

    Many thanks,

I have just googled them to see what is out there and saw a PCN from them on pepipoo.

Glad you spotted the scam. Seems you have found yourself a good place to park!

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
