Has anyone sold their house with purple-bricks? £599 upfront is cheaper than an estate agents fee and my "adviser" was great but.....?

I've wondered this too as I wish I'd given them a go instead of local agent first.0

Sorry for raising a very old post but this comes up pretty high on Google. For anyway considering using this company you should be very careful.
Their price has also risen since this first post.0 -

And you pay whether it sells or not. It's win-win for Purplebricks:rotfl:0 -

I have not used Purplebricks myself but my daughter knows people who are currently selling through them.
Her friends are selling in East London and will be saving thousands of £s that they would have had to spend via a traditional estate agent.
The Purplebricks agent is Simon Taylor (mentioned in the other thread). They have been impressed from the first time they met him for the valuation. He is always available by email/phone for help, advice and "virtual hand-holding".
Much of East London is currently a property hot-spot with lots of potential buyers, some (especially investors) with ready cash.
If I wanted to sell, and I lived in an area with a high demand for property, I would now probably use Purplebricks myself. The houses or flats are advertised on Rightmove.
Someone in the other thread commented that Purplebricks take the money even if the property does not sell. I had not heard about that, and I'm not even sure that this is so.
Currently, there seems to be one agent covering the whole of East London (and Enfield), so it would be a good idea to do some homework re the potential selling price before getting a Purplebricks valuation.0 -
Where I live it is such a seller's market that houses are literally selling themselves!
I know of three couples who have all sold within a week over the past month. One of whom is my son who sold his in 3 days.
It is true that you have to either pay PB's fee upfront or defer it until completion but if you choose that option you have to use their solicitors.
However, you have 10 months in which to sell so, providing your circumstances don't change and you can no longer sell, that should easily be long enough, especially at the moment.
I think their fee is about £900.0
