Recommendations for family holiday. Good deal, book now :)

I'd love to take the family away this time next year. We've had one holiday abroad to Benidorm in 25 years :(. Recommendations very much appreciated. Looking for a good deal I can book now.

A bit more info would be good!

What do you mean by 'the family'? Two adults and children? If children, what ages? What kind of holiday are you looking for, beach/sightseeing/city/ski-ing? Do you want somewhere in Europe or further afield? Do you have a budget?
    :p

13 year old, next year 14?? that could mean you are looking at 3 adults plus a child, in a school holiday for £1500 ......looking like only a week.
And it won't be Egypt. Set your sights lower.

That would be 4 adults and a child (2 adults, 21 year old, and 2 kids)...if I've read the OP correctly?

Just about doable with travelrepublic to Salou in Mid July...1 week 2* self-catering, flights, luggage x5 (possible savings here?), shuttle transfers, and insurance.

However, although OP wants to "book now", are they able to pay the £900+ now for everything but the accommodation (which only requires a £1 deposit)?

Maybe not where you are, but schools in some areas break for summer on Friday 10th July 2015. For example...

    http://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/index/education/information_about_schools/term_dates/term_dates_1415.htm

The one I found last night departed on Sunday 19th July.

And the chances of the OP coming from there?

School holidays in England start generally later and prices will rise.
Or the OP could move north of the border

What's the budget for, travel and accomodation or including all spending while there? Packages in the school holidays tend to be a rip-off, look at booking everything yourself, also look at going late August when prices are lower in most of Europe.

Would you consider driving? You could probably get a couple of weeks on a decent campsite on the beach (static caravan/chalet) for your sort of budget.

Or if the kids like theme parks/water parks somewhere like Duinrell in Holland - excellent theme park and indoor water park on site & included, with evening entertainment etc, close to the beach. It's Holland so bit more risky weather wise - having said that they've probably had better weather than the a lot of the Med the last few weeks!

Did you miss the words "for example", like you missed the number of passengers travelling?

And are you usually such a pedant?

That gives you 9 months to go mental collecting Tesco Club Card points.
These will give you 3 for 1 on the likes of Alfresco Holidays. 2 accounts are better than one. That way when bonus deals that come up, you can double up. ie blinkbox books 100 points for £1 spend (2000point max)
Game pre orders were another good one. As was life and mortgage insurance and £50 (5000points) Top Cash Back each.
Most of these deals mean you are effectively buying points, whether you want the product or not. But when each penny spent is worth 3 then its got to be worth it.

I / we actually have 5 club card accounts (completely legit, 1 for each member of our family) all linked to our household BA Exec Club Acc. Our (adult) childrens all auto convert to Avios, enabling us to "turn left" when we get on the plane. My wife and I's are used for 3 for 1 hotel deals with Hilton, Marriott, Barcelo, Puma etc. In fact, Macdonald Hotels are actually offering 4 for 1 until end of September which means you can efectively stay for under £20 a night.

The VAST majority of state schools break up in late July , that fact is important to the OP. Is that being a pedant ? or just trying to help, which is more than your post does.
