can you get your cat food bill down? we buy royal canin online and its cheaper

I doubt that many people on a tight budget feed their cats on Royal Canin, whether bought online or not!

    Hi

Check out green or yellow split peas in Lidl for soups and curries (49p - half the proice of lentils).

Also their 20p spaghetti and the cheapest (49p?) tins of sardines. I think the penne is 29p at the moment.

Pasta bake - two portions pasta (120g), one sardine in oil and half a tin of passsata/tomatoes. Add some milk powder made up if you like to make a sloppy mix +herbs.

It may be worth checking out the concept of the Wonderbag/ and making one up. That allows you to cook things for 10 minutes and let the bag do the rest.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • zennith - good luck with this. My DS is on a budget this tight or tighter now that he's dealing with his debts, and I'm really enjoying reading your thread for ideas for him. I just wish he'd come on here himself and meet all you lovely peeps for himself.

I'd not heard of the Wonderbag before - it's the same ideas as a haybox, I think, but much more compact. Definitely worth looking into as it doesn't look too hard to make, even with my rubbish sewing skills.
