  • ONLY if you have a lience for your other PC, if you install it without a lience then it is illegel.
  • basically no.
your dell license is for your laptop only.
it lives and dies on that machine.

if you wanna put vista on your PC you will need to buy a new copy.

  • It will be illegal if you use this OS with one user license on both P.C simultaneously... Not sure about dell licensed software, but if you are only using one P.C at a time and have purchased the OS, this will not be an infringment on your software license but only if you use the OS on one P.C at a time you.

Asidt do a memory stick that has something similiar to U3 built in, the software is called I Flapp it allows the user to download whole OS and things like adobe photo shop CS3 onto it, and use it directly from a memory stick..

As the OS will only be used on one P.C at a time there would be no infringment on the user license. Do check Dells user license agreement though as I am not familiar with it.

Not true, this would only be applicable if you'd bought a retail version of windows. As the windows on the Dell will be OEM, these are NOT transferrable across machines and is ONLY licensed for use on the machine it was bought with.

  • As I said I wasn't sure if Dells licensed OS had different lincense terms... but if this is the case the answer to your question is No.. As you would then breaking your user agreement...

I've no idea personally about Dells but all pcs sold with preinstalled Windows are OEM, not retail. Nothing to do with Dell's or any other manufacturer's terms. They are the normal licence terms for Microsoft.
