Mighty Deals Anna Frozen Dress - chinese fake!

Options
I stupidly and hastily purchased the Anna dress from Mighty deals. I now discover on closer examination that it is not official merchandise, it is in fact the Chinese knock off selling on Ebay for £3.99!! Mighty deals has the RRP at a whopping £39.99. I've just put in a cancellation ticket which I hope will go through ok.

As long as you've put your cancellation in writing you should be fine.
It does clearly say it's not official.

    hi

if you are looking for the UK licence holder (ie not fake), you need something made by Rubies Masquerade, as they have the Disney licence for all Frozen costumes in the UK

This is the one on Amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Frozen-Classic-Costume-Large/dp/B00FYZ92SM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407605039&sr=8-2&keywords=anna+frozen+dress

(not sure if you wanted basic or deluxe, or what size you wanted) - the Elsa is still hard to get as the manufactuer is waiting new supplies (supposed to arrive soon), but the Anna shipment arrived a couple of weeks ago,
  • Disney have a reputation for playing hardball with knockoff merchants. I'm surprised that Mighty Deals would take the risk, "not official" declaration or not.

It's the fact they advertised it as having a RRP of £39.99 that I find so shocking. The picture originally was just of the dress, the one sent with the voucher is the common one used on Ebay with the little Chinese girl wearing the dress, it was only then that alarm bells rang, then I saw the 'not official' bit and realised I was being scammed and the dress wasn't really worth £39.99 at all but only around £3 to £4! Mighty Deals have lost me as a customer, I won't trust them again on any deal.

    Good morning November2

    Thank you for your post.

I am really sorry to hear that you are disappointed.

We work closely with the ASA to ensure that all deals are clearly advertised, and in this case we did specifically note that this was not branded.

The RRP of the item is carefully equated by our Validation Team, and the dates and exact times are noted on every deal.

I am sorry though that you are unhappy, if you like, please email me at [FONT=&quot]customerfeedback@mightydeals.co.uk

    Many thanks

  • The price are checked against the company selling it and would almost always be cheaper somewhere else. Like the Amazing Magic Twisty Worm! costing £4.09 inc postage

    Hi Steven504

Whilst every effort it made to bring you great deals, there may be some offers which can of course be found for less P+P in other areas.

    Many thanks!

  • That is why I recommend people always look somewhere else if they can find it cheaper or the same price. They will most likely be better off buying somewhere else i.e. buying via amazon also means much better customer service.

    Hmmm.

Mighty Deals price £4.09 including postage.

    Amazon £1.35 including postage.

Not so 'mightydeals' then really. smiley-rolleyes010.gif

    Hi there PollyCat

Thank you for your post. Occasionally UK distributors may be slightly more expensive than overseas imports. This can massively affect the postage time, which we always keep below 10 days.

    Thanks again!
