Typical Tesco smoke and mirrors pricing, one reason why I try to avoid them these days.0

But it doesn't say that its a special offer price at all.
You got a good deal. Now it has returned to the original price but has been moved to the clearance section - presumably because it is being discontinued. Nothing wrong with that as an item doesn't have to be reduced in price to appear in a clearance section. Many clothing stores do something similar as they have a 'when it's gone, it's gone' rail where they put the last few remaining items from ranges which aren't going to be restocked but are still priced at their full price.
Tesco's haven't done anything wrong or underhand so I don't understand your post.0 -
Lots of stuff in various stores clearance section at full price .
Confusing only if you think clearance means reduced .0 -
Yep, no special price.
It seems you bought it on offer, now it's back up to full price.
It's clearance, which just means they're stopping selling it. They could have bumped up the price as it's now 'limited edition'.
Clearance doesn't mean cheaper!0 -
I sell pencils at a special price = 100 quid each. It is a clearance sale because I only have 2 remaining in stock. Would you like to buy one?0
