Cost of Tiling - Bathrooms

What would be the cost to do 2 bathrooms, 1 Cloak Room and 1 Kitchen? Approx total area is 24 sq.m. I'm thinking of using ceramic tiles.

Are tiling jobs quoted at a cost per sq.m? And do they vary depending on the type of tiles (Porcelain vs Ceramic)?
We live in Kent and one tiler has quoted around 2000 for the entire job. Sounds reasonable???

    They're normally priced at per sq.m. £2k seems rediculous for 16sq.m

    I paid £500 for ~20sq.m of wall and floor tiling for a bathroom and that included grout and adhesive supplied by the tiler.

    Approx total area is 16 sq.m

    That figure sounds far, far too small for 2 bathrooms, 1 Cloak Room and 1 Kitchen

    I paid about £450 for a small bathroom in Cambs, so £2000 for 4 rooms seems fine

    expect to pay 25 upwwrds per squ m, most include fixatives etc, some dont, just ask.

    2k is a rip off! Are they removing old tiles and or prepping or plastering before tiling?

    24m ..must be very small area in each room?

    But what does it include? Does it include removing old tiles? Making good? Overboarding of timber floors? Removal and replace fitting of sanitary ware? Cutting plinths down?

    A better spec is needed before we can comment.

    Hi - specs given below

    Kitchen = 12 sq.m
    Bathroom 1 = 4
    Bathroom 2 = 4
    Cloakroom = 2.5

    no old tiles - a new build property.
    And yes, might have to remove the basin & toilet to get a proper tile finish.
    Might also need some boxing work done to hide pipes.
