convert garage into studio

Options
We are thinking of converting a detached double garage into a self-contained studio. We would like to include a kitchenette, and shower room. Does anyone know how much this will cost bearing in mind electrics, plumbing, insulation, windows and doors, wooden flooring and heating?

Thanks!

    Thanks!

Too many variables to give any sensible answers I'm afraid.

It depends on so many factors such as services already present, ie power and water and drainage?? (probably the most difficult issue and likely the most costly aspect of what you are planning)

Who is going to do the job?

What standard of fitment are you specifying?

Are you requiring it to be heated therefore insulated?

    The involvement of the council?

Now I don't want those answering, they are for your consideration.
You might be able to DIY for £5k £10k if everything falls into place, it could cost you £25k plus to get it done if groundworks etc are difficult.

Then of course you have to take into account the area you live in, the costs can vary by 50% alone based on location
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
