Hello

We have a lot of grass to cut and we have a marvellous lawn mower however I am in need of an effective and reasonably priced strimmer to get the edges in line so recommendations would be gratefully received :D

Same advise as for the hedge trimmer.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Please be mindful of hedgehogs when using strimmers. I have one little guy that comes to my garden every night. I've had to warn the neighbours to check before using strimmers as they can cause terrible injuries.

I nearly chopped a froglet with mine so I now leave a little area uncut for any wildlife to quake in whilst I strim the rest of it. I have a rechargeable cordless Bosch and it is a good investment for me as the side of the house was too far for the extension of an electric one to reach. If you get one search round on the net for replacement blades as they are much cheaper there than B & Q etc.

Worth looking at screwfix, often have their Titan brand on offer - recently had good price on petrol version which removes need for mains cable / recharging
