Sky took payment from a cancelled account.

I cancelled Sky and they continued to take the money out of my bank account for four months. My own stupid fault for not checking my DD's. Ten calls (and six times they put the phone down) and 3 months later they gave me my money back.
They don't have a Complaints Dpt, apparently. Which must be why their customer service levels are so high in the published worst C.S. comparison tables.
Assuming that you had cancelled the DD after what you believed was the final bill, your remedy was with your bank: they are obliged to give you an immediate refund under the DD guarantee. It's then up to them to dispute the matter with Sky if they wish.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Thanks macman, but I tried that. They could only refund me the last DD Sky took. Like I said above, my own stupid fault for not checking but live and learn eh? I won't make that mistake again.0
