Samsung Mobile - Great Service

My son's Samsung phone died last Thursday, 22 months into the 2 year warranty. Called Samsung support 3pm Thursday, Friday received a prepaid special delivery returns envelope, sent it back same day. This Wednesday it arrived back by overnight courier.

As above, do you know if it actually was fixed? if it was restarting or something it may of been a quick reset on their end or to update the firmware.
I had a Samsung phone that had gps issues last year and zero damage and still looked brand new, water seals were intact and Samsung claimed it had very bad water damage so I took it apart myself and put it back together, took about 5 minutes then gps worked for months till I sold it.
Samsung claimed the damage was so bad it was financially unfixable as it needed loads of new parts, it needed no new parts.0
